Reelcatch Retreat was born out of our love for Lake Erie, and our appreciation for this beautiful area of God's Creation. For many years, our family has enjoyed walleye fishing, boating, and ice fishing on the lake.
We are a family of six: Mark, Sara, and four boys. Seth is the oldest at 17, Craig is next at 14, Kyle comes in at 'almost' 11, and Kenny is 'almost' 8. We feel extremely blessed as a family, and find fulfillment in working together and enjoying time with each other outdoors. Over the years, we've stayed at our share of rental houses, and we have slowly and methodically developed a vision of what we would like a vacation property to be.
How was your last experience at a rental house? Were you greeted by a list of rules posted throughout the house? Were you monitored when you arrived to see if the headcount was one over? Or did you have to worry about rules when your friends stopped by for several hours?
Our goal is to add a new dimension to your vacation. When we say, "Make yourselves at home!" that's what we mean! We want you to feel welcome. We want you to kick back, relax, and enjoy. Have another cup of coffee!
Our trust is based on the belief that people, as a general whole, do not have ill intent, and practice respect of persons and property. Our only request is that you treat our property as if it were your own.
There will, of course, be that one person that will misuse the privileges and trust that we extend to our guests. But we will not let that small percentage stand in the way of our new guests and soon-to- be friends whom we'll welcome back again and again.
